Nurse Jenn

Meet Nurse Jenn

FOUNDER OF NURSE JENN

Hello, I’m Jennifer, but most people know me as Nurse Jenn — a registered nurse and advocate for compassionate care for new graduate nurses as they transition into bedside practice.

For almost two decades, I’ve walked alongside nurses through moments of chaos, burnout, and emotional trauma, and I’ve questioned whether nursing is for them. My passion lies in bridging the gap between what school teaches you and what being at the bedside truly means.

My Approach
I believe true healing is possible when we address the root cause — not just mask the symptoms. My care is:
– Trauma-informed
– Deeply personalized
– Grounded in science, elevated with intuition

By supporting nurses at the point of greatest risk for burnout and attrition, this solution strengthens workforce retention, protects patient care, and gives new nurses a reason and a way to stay.

My Story

I’m Jennifer Johnson—an ER nurse, author, and advocate for nurse wellness. For over 18 years, I’ve worked on the frontlines of emergency care across Ontario. I’ve witnessed the heartbreak, chaos, and triumphs that define nursing—but I’ve also seen far too many incredible nurses walk away from a profession they once loved.

The truth is, I came close myself. Burnout, long nights, and the emotional toll of carrying patients’ lives in my hands left me questioning my place in nursing. What pulled me through wasn’t another textbook or lecture—it was reflection, resilience, and the quiet act of writing my story. That practice gave me clarity, strength, and the courage to stay.

I created Nurse Jenn to give others the same lifeline. Through reflective journals, 24/7 AI mentorship, and resilience-building programs, I help new graduate nurses navigate their first 30 shifts with confidence, and I help seasoned nurses reconnect with the passion that brought them here.

Today, my mission is simple: to heal the healers. By giving nurses the tools to process, reflect, and grow, we can stop the bleed of early exits from nursing and build a stronger, more sustainable future for the profession we love.
